Storage in Multiple Units: Long-Term Dependability
Regardless of how the cord blood is collected (syringe or bag), we store the sample in multiple units that are specifically designed for long-term cryogenic storage. Cord Blood Registry "suspends," or stores, the stem cells in the newborn's own plasma to eliminate the risk of contamination from other human and nonhuman medium components.
CBR typically stores client samples in multiple units, which provides more flexibility for future use. Because stem cell technology is evolving rapidly, we believe that storage in multiple units provides our clients with a significant future benefit because the cells may potentially be used for more than one treatment.
